They were constructed of aluminum and originally purchased for sulfur service in Texas. In later years, after that service ended, they were repurposed for sand service on the west coast in California. These aluminum cars weathered to a grungy brown color as they aged, and they wore both yellow and red lettering. There has never been a rhyme or reason determined for the difference in lettering colors. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis decal set does one complete car in as-delivered or later versions of the red paint scheme. It includes a number of pre-set car numbers, as well as a full 0-9 block so you can model a specific car number.
